All,
Currently I have H1B approval notice and AP. I entered US on H4 and then changed my status to H1B. So in I-94 my status is H4. When I left US to visit canada the airline lady didn't take my I-94. I aksed her many times to do that but she refused. She said that you are coming back in 10 days so we'll not take your I-94.
I want to enter US with my AP. I am confused what will happen if officer sees at POE that I still have I-94. Can I surrender my old I-94 (which has H4 status) when I enter US ? I am coming back US in five days. I am just worried that if office at POE doesn't issue me new I-94 then I'll be back on H4 status.
Please help.
