i-94 delaying my SSN

Im a mexican citizen on TN Visa, I got a job in California, but arrived for the first time in North Carolina in order to get SSN, the officer passed my tourist visa instead of the TN and gave me an 194 on B2, when I went to the SS Office my application was denied, I then went to deferred inspection at the airport to get a TN i-94 and I then applied to the SS.
The thing is that it has been 4 weeks now and I havent received my SSN or any answer from homeland security.
what do you recommend me to do?
leave the contry and re-enter?
contact the uscis?

I'm affraid they didnt upload my i-94 since I got in deferred inspection at the airport or that it could be wrong that I entered thru another state...
please help me

You shoukld have done this 4 weeks ago.

There is nothing more for DGS to do, they gave your correct I-94. Now its up to SSA.

You can still work with I-94 and pending SSN application.
