I-90 update?

Questions to all who have filed I-90:

1. how long does it take to get approved?

2. Is it processed in NSC or Cal SC (I live in Calif)? Those two SCs have I-90 in their processing date info on the USCIS website. The Cal SC is processing June 01 2005 while the NSC is still processing Feb 01 2005.

3. Anyone who filed I-90 to correct the backdating issues heard back from USCIS or get approved?

I am getting ready to do it now since I've been very swamped the last couple of months.

I got my (non-backated) GC on 5/18. I filed an I-90 at the San Jose Service Center on 5/27. I got an application receipt (from the California Service Center) a couple days ago; the RD is 7/21. The receipt states that the application fee has been waived.

The latest online update states:

Type: I90, APPLICATION TO REPLACE ALIEN REGISTRATION CARD

Current Status:

On July 27, 2005, after approving your application, we ordered you a new card. Your card will be mailed to you as soon as it is ready.

I hope to have the replacement card correctly backated

So they never asked you to return the old card??
 
how you are able to file at san jose service center..?..i also live in san jose.can you share your detail...!
 
Old Card Relinquished

I had to relinquish my old card upon submitting my I-90 application. The immigration officer wanted to stamp my passport, but I didn't have with me (since it had expired a long time ago).

P.S. I had to submit my I-90 in person. since I applied before the LA office opened
 
Just received notice for Bio #3

After 7 weeks of silence, we received notice for Bio Code#3 which is scheduled on 9/28 :mad: It did not ask for the surrender of current GC :confused: No Receiving notice has ever received :confused: . No online update. Weird
 
Replacement Card Received!

I have just received the (corrected) backdated GC. The picture on the GC is a copy of the pictures submitted with the I-90, not the one taken with the old biometrics.

The online case status hasn't been updated to reflect the fact that the card order is completed and it is sent out yet.
