I-90 (card never received) at a different service center

Hi All,

My wife's 485 was approved in California Service Center (CSC) and her card was sent but it has not delivered, so we had InfoPass at Los Angeles office to inquiry about the card and they told us that we would need to submit an I-90 (for a replacement card) because it was "never received".

The issue is that we are moving from California to Illinois, so we will belong to Nebraska Service Center (NSC) (right?), so I am not sure how would that work?

- Should we submit the I-90 before the move? Or should we wait till we move then submit it?
- Can we submit before the move (still in California) and then do the biometrics in Illinois?

Your help will be appreciated so much!

------------------ after 15 th July you cant file I-90 with any Local USCIS, you have to file with LA lockbox

-------------------- If you have new address then file I-90 with LA lockbox or file AFTER you move
- Can we submit before the move (still in California) and then do the biometrics in Illinois?
--------------- at this time no experience is shared by others who filed I-90 with LA, better file after you move and you can also Efile the I-90

Thank you so much!

Filing the I-90 after the move, will that require moving the case from CSC to NSC?

Basically what you are doing ir reapplying for your green card. there is no need to transfer your case. The office that receives your application (mostlikely NBC) will send you an appointment to your local ASC (in Illinois) and you should get your card at the address you put on the for I-90.
