I am filing I 751 based on wavier.
Do I need to include a personal statement about our marriage, relationship and divorce?
I did not see anything like that on I 751 instructions on USCIS website. I heard people usually do that. Is that needed when filing I 751 based on wavier?

What is the basis of your waiver?

How long where you married? Moreover, do you guys have any kid(s)? Was there any abuse in the marriage? Sorry...too personal, but it will give me an idea on how to advise you..

Well, how those factors change answer to my question!!!!!!!!
I said I applying only on divorce ground NOT on any other grounds.

My question is that do I need to include a personal statement?

Because it is not written anywhere in I 751 instruction and I heard people including that

Your answers have a bearing on the advise which I can offer you. What wll be the basis for your good faith statement to USCIS? :confused:Good faith is based on solid facts which can be reviewed by different people and still come to the same conclusion. In your case, you want the USCIS offer to approve your filing based on a good faith from who? YOU? You statement alone is not sufficient proof that your acted in good faith, just like a motorist caught on a radar gun flying at 95 in a 65 mph zone, he/she has a reason to try to wiggle out of the speeding and reckless driving charges. You are that speeding motorist, you have to prove to the judge that you were NOT speeding and the officer's has ulterior motives.

Good faith is based on providing evidence which can be corroborated by facts. A child is a good faith showing..;)

That’s not the answer for my question. I would appreciate if someone focuses on my question.

I don’t want advice on proving good faith. I do have solid evidence for that and I do have sworn affidavits from 2 us citizens as mentioned in I 751 instructions.
I do have good and solid evidences.

Please! Child is a good faith only with other collaborative evidences. You don’t need married to someone to have a child and it can happen in one night stand also!

Please answer my original question if you know it. Thank you man!

I have a question
My husband (soon to be ex) and I are filing for a divorce right now. We've been married for a year and 2 days =(
Reason for divorce: he has someone else. I have evidence like phone bills that show he's been talking A LOT with his new girl and been texting A LOT also.
Other than that, I don't have anything else. We're in family plan so that's how I can check his calling activity online.
Just wondering how I can prove the marriage was in good faith. My soon to be ex husband told me he'd help writing a statement that he cheated on me, but that's about as far as he would go. I still have a hard time letting my husband go. He clearly is in love with someone else. There's nothing I can do :(

Indian citizen:
Include the letter. I filed with the waiver as well and I included a lot of evidence and a letter explaining the reason for the divorce. I think it was very helpful. I got my green card in 2 months. So my advice is that include a letter and evidence to prove that the marriage was bonafide.

Thanks. I will include a letter explaining the circumstances of marriage and divorce.
Congrats for your green card! That’s nice.

OP while this is an emotional time for you don't get upset about people responding. As others said mention anything you can for proof that will help your case. Telling a story of how you met, married etc helps getting them to know your circumstances.
