I-751 Reminder Notice

Yesterday we received a notice from the Vermont Service Center reminding my wife to file the I-751 since her conditional card is set to expire in about 3 and a half months.

My question:
Does this mean that the Vermont Service Center has my wife's paper file from archives, or was the notice just automatically generated and come from Vermont because of her address on record with USCIS?
