Any one got his/her I-730 Approved lately? would you please tell us the date that you submitted your I-730?

Thank You

sorry, I730 did happen for me, otherwise I would share some. But they denied my application after 9 months and it was two years ago.

Good Luck

Hi Nimche,

Did they give any reason for denial? I have my son's I-730 pending for over a year now. He had his Bio-3 taken last May 2007. He is still waiting for final decision. How long it took for them to give final decision after ur Bio-3?
Thanks for ur comments.

I didn't even get that far, I got married after I got my status and that was the reason they denied my applications.

You should be fine.

Nimche,

Thanks for ur reply. I appreciate it. We are spending hell of money to keep his status as F-1. Hoping for favourable decision soon.Need ur pray.

Thanks again

When did you apply for your son?
I applied for my son in May 2006 and his case is still pending. He already did bio 1 and 2.
A friend of mine applied in november 2006 for his family living outside the US and they already approved his case.

Well, if you are reasonably sure of the case will be granted--that is, if your relationship is genuine, you filed within the 2 year deadline and he does not have any criminal issues, do not spend your money on keeping the F-visa.

I-730

I filed for my wife. Receipt date is May 06 at NSC.
It is still pending.
Nebraska shows processing July 06 applicants.

comcast,
thanks for ur comments. The answer to ur remarks are, yes relationship is geniune, filed within two years & no criminal issues at all. the only worry we have is that he is aged out. However, he was under 21 when I filed for asylum. My asylum was approved after enactment of CSPA i.e after 17 Aug 2002. He seems to be eligible for benefit under CSPA.
Since his Bio-3 has been taken & alloted with A# therefore, I am hopefull he will get his approval but it is not guaranteed. That's the primary reason he is still maintaining his F-1 status. I do not know if it is necessery in any way.

I will appreciate ur comments on this strategy we are following.

colocolo,

I read somewhere that it takes more time for approval of I-730, if the petitioner is in USA. But i am not sure 100% if it is correct. However as ur friend's case proves it since his family was outside USA therefore they got the approval. Has ur son taken his Bio-3 yet?
Pl stay in touch on this matter.l

My son already did Bio2 and Bio1. I am expecting now the approval letter, not Bio 3. I recently called USCIS and they asked me to allow more time because of the background check.

I think you have a good reason to call Customer Service and explain to them that yours is outside of the processing timeframe. This will give them the necessary jolt to process yours.

Can a beneficiary apply for benefits like driver licence, EAD, or... while his case is pending and outside processing times?

thanks for your reply.
I called them twice and they contacted nebraska for me.
on one occasion, i got the letter stating that name check and fingerprints are done, and case needs to be assigned to the officer for review.
letter states that there is no specific timeframe as to when officer will be assigned and to contact them withing 6 months if no news.
