You don't need it. However, you will have to include the asylum approval letter as supporting evidence.

did you file work authorization form with I-485 too?

Why would you need to apply for work authorization when you already have asylum? The only time I applied for work authorization was when my asylum was pending. Never after asylum approval because you don't need it.

oh ok, i thought we need to have work permit to work, because when my asylum approved i got work permit for 2 years, thats why i asked....

You just need a GOV'T or State issued ID and an unrestricted social security number for employment. Check out the I-9 form.

Did you applied on your behalf. I mean without a lawyer?- if yes please share w/me what papers you fill out and what needs to be done step by step.

Expired I-693 medical reports

My I-693 medical examination reports have expired as of 21 December 2012. I entered the US for the first time 5 weeks later not realizing that the medical reports have expired. Now the US immigration services is holding my passport and they said that they will send me a letter recommending a civil surgeon to obtain a new medical report. My green card processing does not start until this is solved. How long will this process take and how much is this going to cost? Is there another way to go about solving this?

you need to have current I-693. it can be done in 3-4 days. just visit civil sugeon and told them you need tests for immigration, they know what to do next. may cost upto $200-300
