I-485 under 245i...can i use 245k as well???

hi everyone,

we applied I-485 under 245i which basically "forgives" you for unlawful status that occured before applying for AOS. Last year I renewed my EAD too late so I worked with the expired one for about a month. If this issue ever comes up when my case is processed will I be protected by 245k? Or maybe I can't because I am already using 245i?

Thank you for your response. I just realized now that my post is a little confusing. I worked without authorization before we ever applied for AOS and I know 245i protects me for that....but the one month that I worked with expired EAD was while AOS was pending so I don't know if 245i protects only for the time before applying for AOS or even after AOS was filed and is pending.

I've heard that 245k protects you for up to 180 days of unauthorized stay or work while AOS is pending. But I'm not sure if I can use 245K since I accumulated much more than 180 days. And I know 245 "forgives" you for this , but it's not like it erases the past.
