I-485 still waiting for FBI name Check

Went today to the USCIS interview, my I 130 and I 485 were approved but the officer did not issue the I-551 stamp because I haven't received name clearance for the FBI. My I-765 (EAD) was approved. Currently I have a valid H1B which will expire in Nov. 2007.
Does anyone know if I can change my job and work for a different employer? Can I continue to work and live in the US if I didn't get the name clearance from the FBI and my H1B expired?

Was your AOS employment or family based? with an EAD you can do as you please... but if it is employment based AOS then it may be a little tricky, since you would not be working for the employer who got you the GC... right after getting it.
 
your I-485 has NOT been approved since your name check hasn't been completed. Since you have an EAD, you can start working for a different employer, but that will terminate your H1 status.

since he said I-130 was approved, it's definitely a family-based application, coz EB GC comes with I-140.
