I-485 RFE - what to expect

just got an email from uscis, saying that they have sent me the letter with a request for evidence -
"On August 23, 2013, we mailed a notice requesting initial evidence in this case. Please follow the instructions on the notice to submit the evidence requested. Meanwhile, processing of this case is on hold until we either receive the evidence or the opportunity to submit it expires. Once you submit the evidence requested and a decision is made, you will be notified by mail".

i have no idea what they possibly could be asking for. i just did an early biometrics walk-in (hoping to save a couple of weeks), but now the whole thing is on hold, and it will definitely delay my EAD card approval/production, so no driver's license and no job for me for a few more weeks.

here's what i have sent with my i-485:
1. my birth certificate copy (+ translation, notarized)
2. copies of my non-immigrant visas (2 of them, 2005, 2006)
3. 2 photos 2" by 2"
4. police clearance letter (included just in case)
5. med exam in a sealed envelope
6. g-325A
7. i-864 (with irs tax transcripts for past 3 years, most recent tax return, employer's letter, copies of pay stubs for past 6 months)

i did not include any criminal history papers (besides police clearance letter) because i have never been arrested, and the only issue i had was a ticket for driving with no driver's license with a fine of less than 500$ and no points.

seems like i have sent everything they need... any ideas? do they usually send RFE's for all the forms filed at the same time? or i can get lets say i-130 RFE later on? thanks

You just have to wait. Trying to guess will not do any good. You will get the letter soon enough

i'm afraid they will ask for something i don't have, cause i have sent pretty much everything i had and honestly i haven't expected RFE to happen at all, that is why i'm so frustrated right now

Are you applying based on marriage to a US citizen or permanent resident? If yes, a copy of the marriage certificate and proof of your spouse's permanent residence or US citizenship is required. You didn't mention those in the list at the top of the thread.

based on marriage to a US citizen.
i submitted a copy of the marriage certificate and my wife's birth certificate with i-130 form as required. otherwise they would send me i-130 RFE as well, i guess.

If you applied for I-485 separately from the I-130, you should have included a copy of the certificates again with the I-485.

i have sent i-485, i-130, i-765
forms together in one package

Evidence needs to be submitted to satisfy each form on its own. So if the instructions on the I-130 and the I-485 say that they needs the same piece of evidence then you include the item twice. For example passport size photos, each form ask for them so you need to include the number requested on the I-130 plus the number requested on the I-485.

i have sent evidence separately with each form, following the instructions to each of them. can't wait to get the letter from uscis to see what its all about
