just got an email from uscis, saying that they have sent me the letter with a request for evidence -
"On August 23, 2013, we mailed a notice requesting initial evidence in this case. Please follow the instructions on the notice to submit the evidence requested. Meanwhile, processing of this case is on hold until we either receive the evidence or the opportunity to submit it expires. Once you submit the evidence requested and a decision is made, you will be notified by mail".
i have no idea what they possibly could be asking for. i just did an early biometrics walk-in (hoping to save a couple of weeks), but now the whole thing is on hold, and it will definitely delay my EAD card approval/production, so no driver's license and no job for me for a few more weeks.
here's what i have sent with my i-485:
1. my birth certificate copy (+ translation, notarized)
2. copies of my non-immigrant visas (2 of them, 2005, 2006)
3. 2 photos 2" by 2"
4. police clearance letter (included just in case)
5. med exam in a sealed envelope
6. g-325A
7. i-864 (with irs tax transcripts for past 3 years, most recent tax return, employer's letter, copies of pay stubs for past 6 months)
i did not include any criminal history papers (besides police clearance letter) because i have never been arrested, and the only issue i had was a ticket for driving with no driver's license with a fine of less than 500$ and no points.
seems like i have sent everything they need... any ideas? do they usually send RFE's for all the forms filed at the same time? or i can get lets say i-130 RFE later on? thanks
