Depends on the immigration category, priority date, and which other related parts of the process have already been completed.

What is the basis of your I-485? Employment? Marriage? Diversity Lottery?

Note that it's called "adjustment of status to permanent residence", not "removal of temporary residence".

The OP might also be alluding to "removal of conditions" via an I-751 (or less likely an I-829). That was the reason I blasted him or her in the other post in the wrong form in a citizenship thread.

The query is too vague and confused.
