I-485 pre-adjudication Vs. USCIS new case status

Hello Seniors & Experts.

Please clarify the following.

LUD of my case per USCIS website: March 31, 2009 for I-485 NSC (my priority date current per Oct'09 bulletin). I-140 approved.

  1. Based on the new case status text: It displays "Initial Review".
  2. What does this status "Initial Review" mean to my case?
  3. Do I consider my case as pre-adjudicated & just awaiting visa number (per my LUD: 03/31/2009) as I haven't received any RFE so far?
  4. Do USCIS issue's RFE for I-485 cases, only when the priority dates become current? If so, what does it mean by "pre-adjudicated case"?
  5. How do you differentiate a I-485 adjudicated case, which has no RFE: What does it mean per the current USCIS case status: Acceptance (or) Initial Review (or) RFE (or) Testing & Interview (or) Decision (or) Post-Decision??

same info for me too.

It doesnt mean the application is pre-adjucted
I have the same message on my CASE.
I am still waiting for some action to occur.
my case status changed on 8/05/09 (maybe becasue of the finderprints done in JUN 09) then it changed again on SEPT 23 09 around 7 pm then again on SEPT 24 09 around 8PM.. but the case status is the same under initial review and also the message is " The I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS was transferred and is now being processed at a USCIS office. You will be notified by mail when a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you. If you move while this case is pending, please use our Change of Address online tool to update your case with your new address or call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283"

How does applicant differentiate whether their case is pre-adjudicated and pending visa numbers (where no RFE's received so far!)from new online case-status website?? Any thoughts?
