Labor Application : Priority Date (OCT 2001)
Labor Application Approval : JAN 2004
I-140/I-485 (Concurrent filing) : APRIL 2004
1st FP - MAY 2004
Received EAD/AP - July 2004

EAD/AP Renewal - MAR 2005

JULY 7 2005 - Received an email notification I-485 approved. But never received I-485. Later after
inquiry got a letter from INS (August 2nd week) that I need to come to San francisco, Local INS office.

Checked with the lawyer, she said take all the documentation and go there.

Immigration office said after checking his system mentioned my I-485 is approved and he stamped my passport
till AUG 21 2006. He took all the EAD/AP documents.

Till now I have not received the Green Card nor the I-485 approval notice.

I went to get a new stamp, he refused to put a new stamp and he took my phone numbers and sent me back.

Any thoughts or suggestions ? Please help.

I wanted to travel to India between JULY 15 to AUG 15 2006. Is it safe to travel ?

Thanks

You will need to call USCIS IMMEDIATELY and tell them that you haven't
received the card yet. Find out from them if they had mailed the card period.

If they mailed it & you haven't received, file I90 as "card lost/stolen". If they
haven't mailed yet (which may not be the case IMHO), then file I90 as
"card never received".

Sorry buddy, you should have sent out I90 within few months of your I485
approval. Better late than never.

Act now and file I90 one way or the other. Using I90 receipt notice, get InfoPass appt and get the stamp on your passport. You will need I90 receipt
to get I551 stamp on your passport, after your initial I551 stamp.

Good luck

I think a good idea would be to contact your local senator

and send the senator's office all your approvals and other forms and request them to communicate with USCIS.
Good Luck!
