------------- You or your lawyer who filed I-485 will get I-485 filing reciept notice

---------- you worked for A in past and A filed LC for you then A filed I-140 for you and now you filed I-485 based on I-140 approval of A, now you have to wait.....

as far as i know, your previous employer is sponsoring you for a future job. so once your I-485 is approved, you would have to join your GC sponsor at that point. alternately, you can use AC21 provisions to work for another employer 180 days after filing I-485 as long as your "new" job is under same or similar occupational classification as the one for which your GC is being sponsored. I am not entirely sure about this latter option in your case because you are not employed with the sponsor at the time of filing of AOS.

I am not a lawyer and all that...

is there any thing wierd if i would not complete 180 to my privious employer

if your I-140 is approved and I-485 is pending more then 180 days then will be eligible for AC21. if you want to work with the employer who filed I-140 then you dont need to do anything you can join him any time with EAD or H1 transfer or after I-485 approval. if you dont want to work with previous employer and your I-140 is approved and I-485 is pending more than 180 days and you want to work with present employer or any new employer then you will be eligible for AC21.

Why don’t you post what is in your mind or your intentions or what you want to do and why you are asking this question??
