I-485 Interview Notice

Hi,

Our Case is transferred in Feb 2005 to NY local office and another person's case sponsored by the same company (employment based) transferred a little after ours.

He just got an interview notice and interview is scheduled this month (July 2005). Although both cases filed and transferred to NY local office about at same time but we have not recieved an interview notice yet. Can we do any thing? Please advice.

My husband will go to NY local Office tomorrow (he has taken an oppointment through infoPass) is there any thing specific we should ask?

------------- what is your PD? (LC filing date)
if EB3, belong to India,dont expect Interview till October 1,2005
 
LC filing date is April 2001 and I 485 RD is April 2003. EB3 does not belong to India.

EB-3 category ran out of numbers and became "unavailable" starting on July 1, 2005, not just for some persons, but for everyone. This means that if you are in the EB-3 category and If your EB-3 adjustment application is currently pending, you will not be receiving your green card this summer and Local USCIS will NOT schedule Interview before October.

Although EB3 numbers are currently unavailable, this is not in and of itself a bar to getting an interview. However, it is a bar to getting approved at the interview.
 
One of my friends got their I485 approved (CA) letters last week. EB3 approved in July. So there has been some odd approvals I guess
