I-485 filling and attorney giving hard time.

My wife\'s I-485 is filled through her company hired immigration attorney. They are not giving her, reciept notice so that she could apply for EAD. She doesn\'t even know the reciept number.

Can anyone tell how she can obtain reciept notice ? she could ask to represent herself but don\'t you need to know reciept number to be able to inform INS for change of representation.

Ask for it directly...

Say you want to verify whether 485 was filed or not?
Say you want to take an active interest in your case.
Write an email or letter.
They cannot screw up your case, just because you asked for the receipt copy.
Ask them straight up why are you not sending the receipt copy even after I asked for it.
It takes 2-3 months to get the receipt though.
