Hello all.
This is in regards to my father's I-485 that he will be filing for next week. Someone told him that he could actually file for RTD and other papers when he files for I-485 ( and that too without any extra costs ). Is there any truth in it? Also, would his processing time be hampered if he were to file everything at the same time or do they process the applications simultaneously ( or even together ). Also, should he be sending the doctor's report while he applies for Green Card or should he wait until he gets a mail that will ask him to send the doctor's report?

I'd appreciate if the people who filed for Green Card recently ( or after the application price hike ) gave me some tips on this regard.

Thank you kindly.

Hi,

I just filled for my I-485, after filling my application i recieved a letter for my biometrics which i did it last week. You can only apply for PR with you papers without any extra cost but not the RTD.I had the same question but my attorney told me its only for PR and not the RTD and i double checked it on USICS website....I applied for my RTD before filling for I-485 which i recieved it in 3 months. About medical i think your father has to wait until he receives a letter, But if iam mistaken pls correct me guys. Thankyou and best of luck

You are corret--the system is not configured to accept RTD without a fee and that is unfair to refugees and asylees.
