check with your attorney ,if you have one.

No I am not an Asylee. I filed based on marriage and the application was filed in Atlanta. I guess are the questions.

1. Do the same time period or duration apply in my case.
2. How can I check my status online
3. Is the application processed in Atl or does it get sent somewhere

Once again Guys Thanks for all your help and Support.

There are fora within this site which discuss marriage cases. You should pay them a visit.

Your situation is completely different from ours. A vias number is already available to you. It is just a matter of BCIS having the time and resources to process your file. It takes about 510 - 730 days in Atlanta (this is an informal estimate by the AILA).

You CANNOT track your case online at this time.

Your case will be processed in Atlanta and you and your spouse will have to attend an interview.

Let me know if you have more questions.

i actually didn't se the notice yet,my attorney sent to me on friday, and from my conversation with her, they want proof of residence for the time being,a explanation of my involvment in the army(based on my background),and update my gc application.

the proof of residence is probably a question because i appied for a rtd almost every year.

i hope this will help other people, but i think is more or less verry specific to every case.

Can someone out there who has received this notice "requesting additional evidence" please send me the address that is given on the notice, so that I can write directly to them and explain that I never received mine. According to the site, they sent it at the beginning of June. I would truly appreciate it.

By the way, my receipt date is June 1998 and still nothing, and get this: my husband's is October 1997 and he hasn't even taken his fingerprints yet (yes, everything is fine, we've checked numerous times and every time we are told "to wait.)

So the next time those of you who applied a year or two after us complain, remember that there are those of us who've been waiting even longer. Also, if there is anyone else out there waiting this long, please let me know. It would be good to know that we are not alone. Thanks.

My receipt data is October 1, 1998, I did my FP on October 24, 2002 and my online status case says that request for additional info was sent on June 25, 2003. I did not receive it yet and if I will not receive it until July 10, I will call munber, they give at BCIS website. I wonder, what proof of residence they might want, as I left country for couple of weeks many time, so my I-94 will be dated by this May.

According to their web site, BCIS sent me the same notice in the mail a month ago, and I still haven't received it. I have no idea what happened, especially since they definitely have the right address. Has anyone had the same experience?
Did you move since you applied for I-485? In case you did, make sure you call and supply them with your new address. The time lapse between the online status change and the receipt of the letter indicating so should nto take more than 2 weeks. I would bet that the incompetent folks of the INS had sent you this notice to your old address. Keep calling them and make sure they updated your address. I also wonder whether you have filed a change of address form when you moved. Good luck

Well i think they would ask everyone to supply different evidences so you really need to get this notice. Also as alan pero said you need to have the envelope that they supply so as to expedite your case. As for the case of your husband, I am very frustrated for him. This is really outrageous he should have got it at least a year ago.

Just strictly follow the instructions in the letter, review it throughly and you will be ok.
I was always reluctant to FedEx. US Postal Service Priority Mail with delivery confirmation was always my preferred way to mail correspondence to them. It takes only two or three days and you can check status of the delivery either online or by phone.
I extracted the text below from NSC website. The link is below.

NOTE 2: If using overnight delivery by any private service provider, send your package to:
BCIS Nebraska Service Center
