I-485 approves without I-140 being approved??

Got a notice today that my I-485 has been approved. However my I-140 is still awaiting approval. What is this????

Some thing wrong, talk to your lawer immediately. I have seen similar post from one guy couple of weeks back, According to him he was stuck.

Please post your 140 and 485 filing dates. May be your 140 is also approved.

How did you know your I140 is still pending ? if it's info from online, it may not be updated quickly. My I140 is still pending on online, although my company got I140 approval notice and I got I485 approval 3 months ago.

I guess your I140 has been already approved. Talk to your company and lawyer.

What is not reassuring is, My lawyer too is completely stumbed by this scenario. He has not received my I140 approval. Does I140 go only to the company or does it go to the lawyer too?

Most probably your I-140 is already approved. Happened to a friend of mine. He got the I-485 approval without I-140 approval notice but his lawyer confirmed later that day to him that his I1-40 was also approved. Hope that's the same with you, and most probably that's the case.
