I-485' approved

My wife and I got our I-485's approved on 12/08/2004 (RD 11/03/030 at VSC) . I think the approval notices will be in the mailed soon, I have the following questions and would greatly appreciate your answers. I am in India now and would like to know the following details . I have an AP to enter he country

1) I had filed my GC under the EB3 category and would like to know if the visa number retrogression would affect me at all?
2) My understanding is that the next step is to get our passports stamped. Should I schedule an appointment through infopass? I assuming that the letter would have the information required to schedule the appt , But would like to know what needs be done as I don’t have the letter with me right now .

3) Will my Lawyer also get on copy , apart from the one that is mailed to my house?

4) What I need to bring when we go to get the stamp?

5) Do they start to make plastic cards only after we get our stamps? How long does it takes normally?

Are you in the 2003 tracker as Tiger2004 by any chance?

You'll probably get more responses to your questions if you post them in the main I-485 forum (http://www.immigrationportal.com/forumdisplay.php?f=96).

The answer to #1 depends on your priority date and where you are from. If your priority date is > 01/01/02 and you are from India, China, or the Philippines then, yes, the PD change would have affected you.

#2 Yes -- make an infopass appointment asap. I believe that some people have been doing this before even receiving the approval notice.

#3 Yes.

#4 The notice should have details but usually:

+your EAD, AP, visas (e.g. H)
+passport style photos
+I'd bring anything else you can think of just in case :).

#5 Yes. Usually they need the photos from the stamping to make the card.

Thanks for your response . Are your sure about Ans # 1. I thought once approved , I don' have to be worried about the PD dates .

As I said above: "...would have affected you...." Now that you are approved you're safe as far as I know.

Let me know if you are in the 2003 tracker as Tiger2004...
