It seems incredible, but I first sent my I-140 on Oct 6th (2000) and then I-485 files on June 6th, 2001 (no specific reason for sending on the same day of the month). My I-485 has been approved on Feb 1st, 02 and I got my letter today. I find this incredible because it took less than fifteen months to process the whole things.
Other details:
EB1 category, Texas Service Center, India.
