I 485 approved and Biometrics

Strange.

yes and even more confusing thing is that i receive e-mails early morning of monday (columbus day) around 3:00 AM, not sure why at this time. I had my biometrics on oct. 6th and not just columbus day somebody is working at 3:00 am also,, wow!!!!!

When did ur I-485 got approved? did u get notification for fingerprinting or for biometrics also what code does it say on the notification? also did u have ur biometrics done before or not yet?

Yes, it's very strange indeed. My 485 got approved 8/24. and on 10/2 i got another email said my case approved again and then on 10/4 it said they ordered me a card.....but last sat (10/7) i got notification in mail says following :
In processing your case we have reached the point where we need you to make an appointment to go to one of our application suppoert centers to have some additional biometrics (fingerprint, photo and signature) taken. blablablabla.

Did you recieve the same thing on your notification?? CAn you let me know your content? does your notification mail has code on it? mines dont!!

And yes i did have my biometrics done on 6/24/2006 with code 3 so i have no ideal!! but i m thinking they might pull my record already or they wont order me a card???

So you call USCIS to schedule and go to application support centers as well?
It's ok.... I will call USCIS tomorrow to find out what's going on. I am sure they pull out my info already....Thanks Will keep you posted...

I think there was something wrong with FP done on June 24. My cousin has also given the FP on 6/24 after GC approval but did not get the card. When checked with USCIS, it was informed that FP results not received.

Yes, I received my card on 10/10. They mailed out on 10/7 but the messeage was updated on 10/10 so you might get it today Can you check your card start date and expiration date after you get it? mine is 8/23/2006-10/4/2006 , they counted from the date the approved but normally it's 10 years. thanks

I got a "Welcome Notice" message yesterday. Did you guys all get this message before the "Approval Notice"? How long should I wait for the Approval Notice? I'll be out of country next month so I'm really concerned if I can still travel....please advise. Thanks in advance.

card expiry

on my card it says resident since aug 16th 2006 (date on which my case got approved) and my card expires on oct. 6th 2016 so ten years from when my card was ordered as my biometrics were done on oct. 6th 2006 and also card was ordered on same day.

Oct 12th late night got e-mails that card has been ordered (just for me and spouse)

My doubts are:

1. When did your online status change to card ordered ?
2. When did your online status change to card order completed and mailed ?
3. Not sure whether you had a minor child as part of your petitition. If yes, when will they pick up the kid's case for card ordering ?

Any thoughts / experiences ?

one thing i can tell you for sure that dont get confused with the dates. in my case it says card ordered on Oct. 6th 2006 as i received the e-mail on oct. 9th 2006 where as it was holiday and i got that e-mail around 4 am in the morning (New card ordered on Oct. 6th 2006 but LUD on Oct. 9th via e-mail)

secondly i got e-mail that card order completed and mailed on October 12th 2006 where as it was actually mailed on october 11th and i did receive it on oct. 13th

i dont have anyone on my petition it was just employment based just for me. did u have your biometrics done (picture, signature and one finger print) if not then u may be called for it but it didn't take long for me it was quite speedy.

Ismildost is right. Dont worry too much about your date and message online.
As long as they said already ordered your card, you will get your card in 2-3 days. Mine said ordered on 10/10 and i got the card on 10/10. The post stamp date was 10/7 so they actually mailed out on that date and the ordered my card on 10/4.
I am the same as ismildost, im single so i have no idea about your kid's case. but joint filing is like this sometimes. but you can call USCIS since bot you and your spouse already approved. hope this helps.

When does your 140 get approved?? I didnt see in your signature... I got my card but I didnt get 140 approval notcie in mail and nothing update online so I am kind of worried. My lawyer will call USCIS for me today.

Card received!

I received my card yesterday even though the on-line message still shows "The welcome notice has been mailed....." and was never changed to be "The card has been ordered...." or "The card was mailed....". So I guess just don't worry about the on-line message. Thanks everyone! This forum is very helpful~

I 140

my i -140 was approved looooooooooong time back more than 3 years back as i filed it separately not together with i-485.

When does your 140 get approved?? I didnt see in your signature... I got my card but I didnt get 140 approval notcie in mail and nothing update online so I am kind of worried. My lawyer will call USCIS for me today.
