1) Is it necessary to include DEGREE CERTIFICATES and PAY STUBS (how many months) along with the I-485 application ?

2) Copies of I-797 notice of action - is it necessary to include notice I-797\'s of all previous H-1\'s and also I-20\'s (to show that you have been in status all through) ?

3) BIRTH CERTIFICATE - Is it necessary to get the actual birth certificate (issued by the hospital you were born) from India or will the 10std marks sheet (which is used instead of birth certificate in India) be sufficient ?

1. You don\'t have to give degree certificate. You don\'t have to give paystubs but last three years W2\'s. If you have one or two years W2\'s, you have to explain why have only one or two.

2. Yes, you have to all H1\'s and H4\'s for dependents.

3. They don\'t accept SSLC certificate copy. You have to give Birth Certificate copy from Hospital or Municipal office. If your Birth is not registered, you have to get a certificate from the municipal office, saying your birth is not registered and then one of your parents and one of your uncles or aunts have to give a Affidavit saying, you were born on that day.
 
Ivide - Thank you for the reply. Do you have to include I-20\'s in addition

to H-1\'s ? (to show you wre in school before getting on to H-1 and you were in status through out).

Alternately you can get birth certificate

You can also get birth certificate by giving copies of passport to "Birth & Death" registrar\'s office in your district/town. Also, do not forget to include affidavits from both your parents and if possible uncle/aunt. We found this simpler as compared with asking the same folks to produce "non availability". You could also ask indian consulate to produce "Birth Certificate" for you against the information already captured in your passport. We did use the birth certificate issued by consulate for our daughter.

We submitted these along with I-485 and got approved w/o RFE.

Hi Sasha Tanya:

I would appreciate if you would help me with the following.

1)Did you attach form I-134, affidavit of support, to your dependents I-485 application? My I-485 is based on employment based I-140.

2) Who signs a child\'s(12 yr old)application? And where, part 4 or 5.
