I 485 and traveling abroad

Hi Everybody,

My (EB2) I-140 is under process and I 485 is expected to be filed by Nov 2005 ( unless retrogression strikes).

My H1B is valid till the June of 2006 and I have no plans of changing employers or anything.

Is it ok to travel abroad in December of this year while my I485 is under process but the H 1B is still valid.

I assume your H1 is stamped in your passport. Then no issues.

--------------- why dont you file I-485 now as PD for EB2 is current?

----------- if you have valid H1 Visa stamp when you come back to US then no problem.
