I-485 And N-400

Hi, I know i been asking alot. but this how we learn lol

its just one a question. (for today) lol

when somebody go to his/her interview for (N-400) Do u think the IO, will bring their Old file? when i say old file i mean the I-485 (Green Card) to match the N-400 and the I-485 imformation u submitted in there???

Of course the IO will have your file. If he/she does not, you will be put in a Q waiting for the A-file to be located.
My file was 6-8 inches thick, maybe more. I presume it had all my filings - H1, L1, EAD, AP and whatever else I did with INS/CIS.

Will they match the file against N400. Not sure.
 
Yes. I don't think they'll try to match at the interview but they'll review your file ahead of the interview. Any reason for concern?

On the other hand, one shouldn't assume anything is guaranteed about the way USCIS does things. When I went for my interview I had quite a long wait in the waiting room and observed many IOs carrying very thick files just like sanjoseaug20 describes. However, when I was finally interviewed, my IO carried only a rather thin file folder that appeared to contain only my N-400. My original L1, renewals, I-485 etc. couldn't possibly have been in there. Had they been reviewed? I expect so.
