I-485 and EAD question

Hi everyone. This has probably been kicked around before, but here are a couple of questions.

1) Should one file for EAD at the same exact time as for 485, or wait for receipt notice of 485 and then file EAD ??

2) We have until end 0ct 07 on our TN/TD's...do we have the time to do this? An immigrant number just became available and we wish to file now.

--- If you are ready to file NOW, you are okay. Ideally, you should have 3 to 6 months on your TN from the date you mail your AOS/EAD/AP applications.
 
Remember that, once you file I-485, you need to stay in US until you get your EAD and AP approved.
 
EAD Question

In regard to Form I-765 (EAD), does the TD spouse who intends to work file this same form for EAD or is there a different form for spouse dependents seeking Employment Authorization??

11. Have you ever before applied for employment authorization from USCIS??

Can I assume an approved I-140 means the answer to this is " YES" ??

Approved I-140 is NOT the employment authorization.
