I'm LPR hoping to get citizenship soon.

here is some timeliness of my wife F 1 story
visa issued 29 june 2006
got married 12 aug 2006
arrived 22 Aug 2006
I 30 filed oct 2006

hopping to update I30 aonce get citz.........wondering if there can be a problem b/c of timeliness as I was reading some AOS stuff

if she files for AOS within 90 days of arriving in the US, she may have a problem. No problem with the timeline for I-130.

No this is not true. Yes I-130 can definitely be a problem if filed with in 90 days of arrival as a non immigrant and USCIS can deny the case. Any immigration benefit applied with in 90 days of arrival in US as a non immigrant can be potential problem. I don't want to scare you but just be prepared. GOOD LUCK
 
since I-130 doesn't offer any immigration benefits on its own, it can be filed at any time. It can be filed before the alien enters the US - as long as he/she discloses it during the visa applicaiton. If the visa was received before I-130 was filed, you don't need to disclose it unless asked directly about it.

She MAY have a problem, but not likely if she maintained her non-immigrant status all this time.
