What employer suppose to do if I-140 is approved but he does not want to continue filing I-485 application
---- Employer does not suppose to do anything if I-140 is approved , employer can use the LC for other candidate if new candidate fulfill the LC qualification before the date LC was filed, employer has nothing to do with I-485 filing it belongs to employee for whom I-140 was approved and I-485 has to be filed by employee but if you want the employee to get GC many employer pay the fees for the I-485 and EAD
*** Don’t know if you are Employer or Employee, need details what you want to achieve. If you are employer better file I-485 for the employee and assist him in his GC that is request from us all and employee will be thankful to you.

Friend of my got I-140 Approved but employer was giving him hard time for filing I-485 he does not want to continue
so was just curious what are his options
thanks

Well the employer can revoke the I-140 and then your friend won't be able to file for I-485 and he will need to find a new employer and get a new LC, then new I-140 and then I-485.

Ask your friend to lay low right now, be nice to the employer, have your friend offer to the employer that he files the 485 on his own, if he is able to pull that out, then after 180 days of filling the 485, tell your friend to tell him employer to F*C* OFF and find a new job and use AC21 and continue his I-485 with some nicer employer.
