I have filed for my I-140/I-485/EAD/AP EB2-RIR through my employer at TSC

I am a Candian Citizen born in India. My wife is Indian and my children are both were born in the US.

I was told by a friend of mine, that me being a Canadian Citizen should speed up the I-485 process.

Is this true, how much sooner would it be than if I were a Indian Citizen?

My friend mentioned a case of Indian-born Australian Citizen whose case was approved very fast in the last year.

Thanks

------ Your friend info is NOT correct it will take the same time for I-485 as for others Canadian citizen are Not given any preference for I-485 approval. Ask your friend to give the source of info we would like to be more wiser

----- It will take the same time as for others you may have to wait for 18-24 months for I-485 approval if I-140 is approved

----May be, I don’t have knowledge and your info is based on your friend info and your friend info is based on the person who got I-485 approved, the info provided may not be true and we don’t know the case of first person when he filed. This kind of info X tells Y then Y tells Z is called social transmission and some time the persons who receive the info they add something from imaginations or delete some info and fabricate it. I don’t buy this kind of info

Sure didn't work for me. :)

Being a Canadian citizen gets you visa-free travel to the US, and not much more.

As you guys mentioned you are also canadian citizen.
Did you guys update I-485 after becoming canadian citizen if it was pending ?
Is it necessary to to inform BCIS about the new citizenship ? if yes then, is there any specific form to fill out ?

will appreciate your reply

I wouldn't know. I am a Canadian by birth. Despite our immigration policies, there are still a few of us odd fish left. :)
