Hello All,

I am in a kind of situation where in your advise is most sot after and helpful.

Here are the details of my case:

1. My Labor was Cleared in : December 2006.
2. My I-140 was Filed during : 1st Week of June 2007.
3. Status at the moment: I-140 not yet approved. Haven't received the receipt# yet.

Qtn:

A.) What are the possible options I have to file my 485 in the 1st week of July'07 in order to take advantage of the current availability of immigrant visa numbers in July 2007?

B.) Is there any stipulated guideline that INS follows such as it should inform the receipt # with in X days?

I was told that there is no way that I can file my 485 with out having the I-140 receipt #.

Could you please advise me what I should do to get my 485 filed before 10th of July’07.

Your advice is much appreciated.

Thank you.

If your employer paid for I-140 fee then if employer Fee check is cashed by USCIS then your employer can get the copy of cashed check from Bank and back side of check is your I-140 receipt # . Punch that receipt# on online status take print out and attach with I-485 and lawyer can explain the situation on cover letter. If lawyer attached his company Check then that cashed check will also have I-140 filing receipt# at back of cased check.

Thank you

Dear Sir,

Thak you soo much for your timely and invaluble advise. There is no need for any further confirmation from an attorney... USCIS itself confirmed that you are absolutely right...wondering what I mean by that?
