Am I reading this wrong or is CSC processing I-140 cases faster ? I noticed
that some categories dates in January and March. I had checked this in last
couple of weeks where they were still in December.

  • I-140 Extraordinary ability -- November 19, 2003
  • I-140 Outstanding professor or researcher -- November 26, 2003
  • I-140 Multinational executive or manager -- December 16, 2003
  • I-140 Immigrant Petition for Alien Worker -- December 11, 2003
  • I-140 Advanced degree or exceptional ability -- January 30, 2004
  • I-140 Advanced degree or exceptional ability requesting a NIW -- March 10, 2004
  • I-140 Skilled worker or professional -- January 16, 2004
  • I-140 Unskilled worker -- March 16, 2004

outletvolt1,
If you just browse around this forum you will realize that the CSC dates are just fooling everyone, they were under a lot of pressure to reduce backlogs. So what do they do? They approve a certian percentage of cases, and leave the rest behind, and show the world that they are in control of the backlogs.

140 EB3 CSC RD - 08/26/03
RFE - 12/24/03, companies ability to pay and degree certificate.
RFE replied on - 01/15/04
EAD and Advance parole on hold.

hate140delay,

dont know how much time it will take????

This is definitely a cause for worry! Is there a pattern for the 140's not adjudicated (received RFE for instance).

Well I could not find a clear pattern, however in my case there was an RFE in Dec 2003 last year, as in my signature

Yes my Lawyer has allegedly done 2 fax inquiries (cant trust them :) ) without a response, my employer called once and started an inquiry, because of which the LUD on my Advance parole changed. But I haven't received any response from USCIS/CSC

The Applications are INDEED moving, keep the FAITH!

My I-140 was approved, last night.

I-140 RD: Jan. 20, '04
CSC/EB-2
No RFE, nothing!
I-140 AD: Oct. 25, '04

It was an excruciating 10 months, but I am relieved! :)

oh, nice to hear that. congrats and enjoy.

hateI140delay, another way I would try is to renew my AP or EAD. they may process your case to save the renewal trouble.

Semi-conc'nt 04, why is your AD and RD so far apart?

Are you referring to my I-140 timeline? If so, yes, it took me 10 months and 5 days; that is why I called it "excruciating"! :)

Must be due to USCIS :)
AD == Approval Date and RD == Receipt Date. They are supposed to be years apart - his is just 10 months :)

whorl1quote, my EAD and AP is "On hold" because of the RFE, I have not got it approved yet.

simple question: somebody used ND... what's that mean?
I only found Receipt date on receipt...

Who said SO???

If you look at my RD, and the Processing Times posted on the USCIS website, it should come as no surprise, that I received a decision at this time. It is just NORMAL, dude!

Are you sure you are not mixing up I-140, and I-485? I am not able to relate to your point that there RD, and AD must be separated by "years"!
FYI, I know people that were approved in less than 5 months at CSC - incl. an RFE, and under the EB-3 category. (My case was filed under EB-2 category, and I had no RFEs!)

sorry guys, I mixed AD with ND/RD. This does happen often though. You guys please also sign the petition no matter if your case have been approved.

Congrats! Any RFEs on your 485? Has the LUD on your 485 been updated?
