I-140 CALIFORNIA EB2 Tracker only

Ladka26 - what do you mean by saying in concurrent filing you have to pay money? Don't you have to pay I-485 for yourself even in case of non-concurrent filing?

Ladka26,

Thanks a lot for the link !!!

Now, Could anybody comment following from the JIT 09/19/03
"I-140 processing time regressed this month due to implementation of prima facie review"
What does this mean for applicant - "prima facie review"

Thanks,

I noticed the same pattern for EB3 category too. I think its because they have to process the RFEs backlog.

I was researching what the word "prima facie review " means
and found the following website.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE DATE OF THIS ARTICLE IS 2002

Just to reactivate this thread. If the last post is too old, the thread doesn't appear any more. This is a good one, very usefull, so want to keep it alive.
Guys, if you have any news, post it. We are getting in October, so things should start moving forward again (after moving backward earlier this month :-)

LC Substitution question

Hi all,

I140/485 LC substitution EB2
RD: 07/16/03

For the I-140 application, only a "copy" of the original LC was included, since the original LC is with BCIS along with the previous employee's I-140 application. The lawyer has sent the application, requesting BCIS to get a certified copy of the original LC from DOL.

My company has already requested BCIS to cancel the previous employee's I140 and has requested BCIS to return the original LC to the company.

Is anybody in a similar situation?

How long does it take for BCIS to get a certified copy of the original LC from DOL? In other words, how long will the process be delayed because of this?

Please let me know.

prima facie review

Got comment from layer of my company that basically says same as arajaa posted. "prima facie review" is basic review to qualify the application before actual processing and does not require anything from applicant...well, except more patience in some cases ... hopefully sunset will happen today ...

Hi T3K, Mingjiang and others..
Any update on I140 status? Now it's october and religious cases should be over now..Please post if you hear anything from HR/attorney...

Kalpesh

I think we need to be little more patient. The earliest we can see some progress (on paper) will be in the dates BCIS release in Mid-October
time-frame.

ac140

I am going for the AC140 interview in this month. Just wanted to clarify the following from you:

* Do we require to have attorney certified copies of I-140 and I-824 for the interview
* What originals we need to give in consulate
* Can we get copies notarized in India also
* whether Employment letter must be addressed to the embassy
* In medical do they go for TB test by injecting vaccine & X-ray

I will appreciate your response a lot.

Thanks

the status has changed on the bcis website for my I140 EB3 .is shows that it is taking between 30-60 days to process this type of case.
is this a glitch or is a miracle going to happen.

Hi 140helppls,
same in my case...something is fishy! I don't think we are that lucky to expect this kind of time change!!

hoping for the best,
Kalpesh

Me too, "it takes between 30 to 60 days"
The 30 days have past, so let's see if they can make it in less than 60.
:-)

Today is my 60th day into I-140 with CSC. Does this new update mean we can start to check status earlier (at 61th day) than 158th day?

my 90 days are gone. still waiting. i don't think the online message change is going to make things any different. but let's wait & see

I140 message changed from 30-60 to 270-300

As expected, the message has changed.

It is taking between 270and 300 days for us to process this kind of case.

I had hope for few days... So here goes the previous statment that they were going to speed up the I-140 & I 485 process.
300 days, is this at least calendar days?
