if you have a family, then it is very important you get it.But if you are single, not really compulsory but still necessary.

Why isn't it necessary if you are single..it doesn't matter...you have to have proof of a job, funding or a sponsor...only the amounts will be different that is requested.

What is your question....are you trying to find a sponsor on this forum?

Yes, I'm trying to find a sponsor (I-134) it's very important.

Good Luck! It will be very hard to get a stranger to be your sponsor due to the liability for the sponsor....I would never do that for a stranger...even for friend you have to be very careful.

you did no read my post well.Read again, you will get my point.

If some one fills out a sponsor form, they have to give their bank accounts, etc...very personal info.

We have seen the internet scam's from nigeria and are warned on a regular base against scam's from all part's of the world, but certain countries are more notorious for them than others...

Why would any one be liable for a person they don't know and not even know if that person really won the DV or just is out to get your personal data....

and that is the main reason why should have asked of his case number and quizzed him more to know if he actually won the lottery before running into conclusion,I understand your point but you cant keep suspecting everyone.I have read most of your post lately on how you wont even be ready to sponsor anybody;you cant keep suspecting everybody. Besides,i particulary had a rift with you something ago over being specific on Nigeria as a garden of scam.Is Nigeria the most corrupt country in the world?Dont think you are being philosophical by saying certain countries are more notorious than others.Things of this nature are posted with diplomacy because you wouldnt know that you jeopardize the chances of most Nigerians who might be of help tomorrow as many might not want to reckon with them. And remember that will are all on this forum to get help so that we can all be successful at the interviews.

Hey guys, I have a friend who is ready to sponsor me. She has printed the I-134 and even filled it. She says there is no part in the instructions that states that she should add her tax returns/transcript for the past 3 years. She says that is only required if the one sponsoring you is self employed. she however says she would get me a letter from her employers detailing her job history. I have read on several threads on this forum of how tax returns/transcripts are requested at the embassy. Now my question is how do I proove to her that the tax return/transcripts are required. Please help me out guys

I'm not biased against any country but Nigeria is notorious for scam's...I just googled it and came across http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&rlz=1T4ADBS_enUS254US258&q=Nigeria+scam's&start=720&sa=N 73 pages about nigeria scam's....

Maybe the OP is just naive to post and ask for some stranger willing to give all their private info out on the internet or sent it to his private address which is of a stranger who can do whatever he wants with it...like ID theft, etc...which in times like this isn't the smartest thing...JMO...if anybody wants to risk to be the victim, than go ahead....not my issue, but at least I can warn them for the consequences and nothing is wrong about that!

Without proof to back up the I-134...the form isn't worth much, and you can try to go to the interview and maybe they will accept it, but in today's economy with many people in debt and other's already have been asked for proof and/or the form, you better have proof of assett's, savings, etc...just having a job isn't enough to sponsor some one...one can have a job and major debt on their credit card or lis pendens, etc...

Thats right. She has to show atleast some money sitting in her bank account and also her tax return for the last yr so that the consular officer will know how much she makes in order to decide of she can actually take care of ya.
