I-131 renwal from abroad?

Hi

We are outside the US now. My wife's travel document expires on March 10. Is there anyway we can renew it from outside the U.S. I know we have to fly back to the US and renew it from there but she has some health issues and we are not sure she can make it before that time. Any advice? Mine expires on May 11.

You have to be in the US when the new AP is issued, and you can't stay outside the US beyond the expiration of your current AP, otherwise your I-485 is considered abandoned.
