I-130 takes too long

A green card holder submitted an I-130 for her under age child. It will take about 3-4 years to get it approved. Is there any way to speed up the process? Surely, no parents would want to leave a child back for so long. And how to return to the US after 3-4 years?

The issue is not the approval of I-130, but is priority date retrogression.
Even though I-130 gets approved today, you still have to wait for your priority date to be current, which will happen 5, 6 years after the I-130 submission.

Yes, 5-6 years is actually the likely timeframe. It does seem ridiculous, but everyone has to go through it and there is no way to speed it up... you just need to wait in line.
