I'm a U.S. citizen. My brother is on his temporary visitor's visa in the U.S. and plans to return before his visitor's visa expires.
After he arrived in the U.S., I filed I-130 petition for his immigration because I wanted to put him in the long-wait queue (that may take 12 or 20 years).
It's been a week since USCIS received my application (I've kept track of the delivery of my application package), but I have neither received a letter from USCIS nor do I see that my check is cleared.
I just wonder if there would be any issue with filing I-130 for a foreign relative while he is visiting temporarily in the U.S. Any advice?
