What country are you from and what country is she from and just how bad are the documents in that/ country(ies)? Did either of you have to submit a bunch of secondary evidence, school certificates and affidavits, and non-availability certificates? Also, are any children of this marriage or out of wedlock involved?

Did you get your USC via an N-400, an N-600, or skip USCIS and get a passport based on your parents?

we r both from india and no children involve. i get usc via n-400. no we didn't have to submit any thing after i 130 filed.(never been asked to submit anything from uscis after i 130 submited)

What type of documentation did you submit as evidence?

no offense bro...

i am right behind you.... i am a USC, my wife is in india, i sent in the i130, the priority date is july 27th. on the uscis website when i check the status it shows a date of august 3rd of having sent out the receipt notice, with the case number. had nothing from uscis till today and today is the 5 month milestone. i called them up and they opened a case and gave me a reference number (service request number)

the funny thing is there is a time frame of upto 60 days(if i am not mistaken) for the uscis to take an action based upon the service request. i am pretty sure that the i130 approval would get to me even before that probably in a week or two. keep us updated.

oh look who's here. a man who talks shi*t about american raised indian females. and what he does is get a wife from india. just make sure she does use hair oil otherwise the combination of you two curry eaters won't be the same... and walk 10 feet ahead of her. or wait, i bet you already do that. typical indian male ideology... a loser like you will never learn....

i tried to make an infopass appointment it been 19 days since i contected the ncsc... on uscis saiys following..
"Case Services follow-up appointment - If it has been over 45 days since you contacted NCSC and have not received a response to your inquiry. You must bring the Service Request ID Number related to your inquiry to the appointment."

what should i do?

i just received the email from uscis that my K3 petition is approved. both the petition are to have the same time frame as 5 months, i am pissed that the i130 aint approved. i am going forward with the K3 . any advices ? lemme know what you guys think should i forget the k3 and wait for the i130 or should i go with the k3, i don know much abt the extra paper work effort and time taken if i am to go for the k3 route and later go for adjustment of status. please help me analyze the situation.

My priority date is also July 8 2010 for an I 130, but I have not heard a peep about a decision. I called USCIS and they said it is being held for further review. What does that mean? At the 5 month mark it was transferred from one service center to another without much explanation. It is hard to believe that I am now in my 7th month waiting for a decision on an I-130 Petition. Anyone have any experiences or comments about this?
