Hi all,

I know that there's probably a discussion session open for this subject in the archives, but I couldn't find it.

I would like to apply for my sister I-130 (she's outside of the US) but I have no idea how it would take to be processed. Does anyone have an idea?
I am an USC.

Also, my sister has a 6 months daughter, but I think I can only apply for my sister right? not for my niece? Assuming that my sisters I-130 gets approved, how we would apply for daughter later? Would it be during the I-485 application process?

Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

It will probably take 12 to 15 years.
Her dependents will get their green cards when she gets hers.

Another thing is that the I-485 is not applicable. All those years from now, she will file for an Immigrant Visa at a Consulate abroad. At that time she will be able to add her spouse (if any) and all her minor children who are under age 21 and unmarried at that time. (And if any of her unmarried kids have kids, they can come too. See INA 203(d)).
