Hello everyone my mother filed i 130 for me when i was under 21 unmarried now it has been approved but i was married and divorced are there any problems does this change the status? Help

i thought once the beneficiery of the PR gets married, the petition gets void, as there is no visa catagory for married children of PRs.... Triple_Citizen, Are you Really sure ?

Had the applicant still been married when the priority date becomes current, then yes, the beneficiary would not be eligible for a GC. However being divorced, the beneficiary should be able to. This is my understanding of it. In any case, once the mother becomes a US citizen, she can always file a fresh I-130 and use this older I-130's priortiy date. However I believe it should not come to that.

If you got married after I-130 is filed, the petition is considered invalid.
