I need advise. My husband filed an I-130 form (Petition for Alien Relative - wife of a US citizen). Receipt date November 2, 2009 in California. At that time we were not aware that since I am here on an I-20, we can file an I-485 form together with the I-130 form. I subsequently filed an I-485 form in Chicago Lockbox. What should I do?

Did you send the I-485 application with a copy of the I-130 receipt? If not, they probably will reject the I-485.
that's not because you are here on I-20, but because your spouse is a US citizen.that time we were not aware that since I am here on an I-20, we can file an I-485 form together with the I-130 form.
