I have no lessons to give you, because I have been married only for 9 months, but with my wife 3 and a half years, and I can tell you we fought a lot (mostly my fault). That's normal.
As for the interview bring, pictures. A lot of them if you have them. In my case that seemed to be the best proof.(300 pictures, 3 years worth...). Just both of us, with friends, with family, then be able to name everyone on your pictures...
Bring what is on the IL and bills and leases with both names, and just a couple bank statements.
Unless you come upon a mean person, all they will ask is stuff like "when did you guys meet, and when did you know that you wanted to spend the rest of your lives together..."
Remember having doubts is normal. We all had at some point, especially after fights/arguments. Hope everything works out well.
