How to verify bout a company claiming to sponsor H1B visa whether its fake or genuine

Is there a link where we can see whether a company is fake or not ...its regarding those companies which will sponsor a H1B fr Indian software guys and then claims to employ them in USA .

Go to the secretary of state website of that state where the company is based. All websites have a corporation database. For example, for a company based in california,search keywords "secretary of state" and "california" and then go to the website and search for the company in their database which has info on all the companies registered in that state.

On DOL website (google for exact URL), you can get info on H1s sponspored by the company in the past. Maybe that will help?

After broadcasting my resume, few companies have come forward to sponsor.But i have no idea on which to choose.


So ppl. pls help me out from ur experiences...

If you pay $ 100- 140 depends on state you can register your (company) Corp or LLC.
Database shows only the company which formed through their article of association. Does not mean that they are genuine company.

Many paper companies still exists. So make your own judgement before fall in to traps.

Go to

Click on FLC Case Data -> H-1B

You can search on the name of the company and the state. This will tell you how many H1B they have filed in 2006. There is also the mdb file as well as history for last 4 years.

I think with that link one can find only the info of LC filing by company and not H1B filing by that company(LC is filed for GC and for H1B filing employer needs LCA from DOL and it is fax back system)
