How to revoke 485s ?

We filed our 485s concurrently thru my employer. Now that my wife's I140 is approved from her employer and mine is still pending with several RFEs, we want to revoke our 485s to refile them thru my wife's side?

Please let us know if there are some specific things we have to do in order to file 485s from my wife's side.

Is there a way we can keep pending 485s alive and attach them to my wife's 140 instead of filing new 485s?

Thanks

hi

Either you can attach your wife's I-140 to current 485.

Or you can apply for new 485 and with draw the old one.
It is always safe to go with a new application.
You can check with an attorney too, their charges will be too much.

how do we withdraw the old ones?

does anybody know what kind of letter/form has to be sent to withdraw 485s?

hi

You can send a letter to the service center, whichever center you have applied your 485.

It is very simple, give a specific reason for withdrawal and that should be fine.
Provide a copy of 485 reciept(both yours and ur wife's)

Try not to use attorney's help, simply they scare you and take money out of it.

I'd link your I-485s to your wife's. Why would you want to pay all of the fees and fill out all of the paperwork again, and lose all of the time you have waited until now?

the Attorney is advising against it.

Since I was the principal applicant when we filed our 485s, and now my wife will be the principal applicant, the attorney is advising to pull out the previous 485s and file new ones to avoid confusion.

Either your lawyer does not know or he is trying to make more money. IMO, there is no harm in attaching the already filed 485 to new 140.

There is no issue even if you have two separate I-485 pending
