How to Renew EAD myself ?

Hi guys,
Its time for our 3rd EAD renewal. Our last 2 EAD submissions were filed by our lawyer who has been charging a whopping $200 each time to file it plus the $120 EAD fees for my wife (Total = 320$ out of my pocket). My company pays for my EAD only and not my wifes. This time I am trying to save these bucks as savings in this unsure future :mad: ...Who knows how many more EADs we will need in future :mad: ... its best to get into the habit.
So how do I file for an EAD for my wife? Is it easy or do you suggest me to go with my lawyer again?
I would like to know the whole process 'A to Z' since I dont want any added complications to this neverending GC story. Any past discussion links to a similar thread will be highly appreciated.
And thanks for standing with me. I know that I am not alone here. Also goodluck for a fast GC approval to all!:)

Download the I-765 PDF. Fill it out. If you have questions, come back here and ask.

It's pretty straightforward, and the form does explain all you need to submit with the application.
 
Go online

1. Go online,
2. fill forms with required information
3. Pay by credit card/debit card
4. submit and get confirmation
5. Print couple copies
Mail anything requested to INS. (I did not. ) but situations could be different.
6. Call the 800 # and schedule a FP/Photo appointment at your nearest ASC.
7. Go on the date, get it done and wait for the Card to come in mail.


Simple, sweet, efficient and cheaper.

I loved the process.

One secret: The USCIS web site sometimes refuses to process any credit cards because it claims that your security code is invalid (the 3-4 digit code on the back or side). If this is the case, leave the security code blank and the site (I'm told) will accept it.

EAD & AP renewal

HI all,
I was following this thread since I am in the same boat. My lawyer also charges a hefty sum for this. And my company does not pay for all this, I foot the bill, even for myself.
I need to renew AP also at the same time. Could someone please be kind enough to tell me how to do that myself?

time taken for EAD renewal

Hi all you gurus,
Assuming I renew EAD online and then go to take my photo and fingerprint, how long will it take from the time I apply online to actually receive the EAD? My current EAD expires Jul 15. If this is quick, then I won't hurry so much.

Filed ead online

Hi,
Thanks to all your help I filed the ead online this weekend. Just 1 question though.
Under "Manner of last entry" and "Legal status in US" I put "DA: Advance Parole (District Auth)". I hope that is OK. My parole document has stamped "Conditions: DA" on it. Please tell me if I should have put "PAR: Parolee" instead.
Confusing.
