Hi,
Thank you for everyone. I need a sicncere advise from you
Im a 25 year old Male living in Missouri on B1 visa legally. I have 3 more months to expire my I-94. I have a 25 year old white girlfriend who is US citizen. She is never married till now. We both are christian catholics.

We like to marry each other. I like to know the simplest way of getting married so that i can file for adjustment of status and permanent residence.
So which is the simplest way? How long it will take? How to obtain marriage licence for a foreinger who dont have social security or drivers licence? Im particulary interested to know in Missouri state.
Is there any different procedures for catholics? Is permission from church necessary?

Please advice me about this.

Bye

You are visiting the US, you cannot live on a B1 legally

Her colour and faith are not variables. As long as both of you are legally free to marry, the marriage can take place in accordance to state laws.

Contact your town or county authorities for marriage licence requirements. Once you both are legally married, you can file for AOS. Be prepared to answer questions with regards to your intentions at the time of your visa application and your entry into the US.

I am sorry if I am rude...but your post sound like a craiglist advertising...

If the plain question is "what are the requirements to marry under catholic church" then you must consultant your own church, which means go to the nearest catholic church that you both go and has nothing to do with immigration. At least what I know is that you must have the "confirmation" before you are able to marry under the catholic church. And anyway you need first to get a marriage license to be able to marry even you are going to marry by church. For that you must go your county court or google "marriage license in xxxx county, Missouri".

If you are asking about immigration issues then go to www.uscis.gov and go into how you adjust your status while you are in the US.

How you marry does not matter for immigration, the only want to be sure that you are legally married, which means previous divorced are trully ended, nothing hanging and valid certification of marriage by the respective authorities.

Thank you all of you.
I just asked catholic church because i did not knew the procedure. Sorry for that. Anyway your advices really good.
So i think to get marriage licence the SSN and US drivers licence is not mandatory. Is it?

is not mandatory, some states have different rules though... specially states with high illegal immigrant rate.

Of course he can. Just temporarily, and it cannot be his sole residence.

I guess it is all "semantics"...

With a visitor visa one "visits"... with a resident visa one "resides"... but it would be acceptable to say he is "living" in the USA, by the definition of "being alive and standing in this soil"... rather than "living/working/studying/residing".

Well, I have always wondered what I should put on the I-94 form where it says "country where you live." I've been putting USA everytime I re-entered, considering I spent 11 months or more of the year here, and was never asked about it by a CBP officer. Thanks for clarifying it for me finally, although I don't need to worry about it anymore! :)
