How to know for sure if Company filed for I485?

Hi
After I140 is approved, what is the best way to be sure that Company filed for I485? Is there a tracking # / Case #? Is there a website where we can track progress?

Please let me know.

I-485 is an Adjustment of Status of Application. Essentially it is YOUR application, not the company's.

The company has nothing to do with your I485. You only need the approval of the 140 to apply for 485 or submit it concurrently if the PD is current

Absolutely true.
Of course, a lawyer can file this application at your behalf, but in this case you must sign the paperwork for the lawyer and also sign the application, so there is no way the company may file it and you do not know about it....

did you fill up form I-485 and signed form I-485?
did you pay the fees for I-485 (employer can also pay it depends on employer )
did you signed form G28?
did you signed fill up form G325 and signed?
did you sent 2 photographs?
did you sent medicals?
did you sent copy of your I-94 (front and back)
did you sent copy of passport pages?

** if sent all the above ask for I-485 filing reciept from employer /lawyer once you get I-485 filing reciept it has your name on it and your A# and the reciept #. once you get that Reciept # you can check online status.

My I140 is still in pending status and I am trying to find out what would be the next step after that.

I understand that I485 paperwork has to be filed my be etc etc. But I dont have my own lawyer. Company did the whole process thru their own. I think company will send me the forms etc and I will have to send them back after completing them, (I live in a different state). So there is still a chance that company would not send the paperwork for filing. I maybe wrong. But just want to be sure its filed without any delays.
