Hi All,
I have my H1-b renewed for the last part of the 6 year term. However, I was issued till july 2008, instead of June 2007. Even the i-94, that comes attached to the H1 document, is showing July 2008. there is no recapture dates to be awailed of....I came in June 2001.
I know i have to be responsibe and Inform the USCIS to correct the date.
My question is: I noticed this only recently, its more than a year since the H1 was issued. What is the procedure to apply for date correction?
Does my company has to apply for a H1 renewal, and pay all the fee as if doing a H1 renewal, in order the correct the date to June 2007 insted of july 2008?
And finally, do this also take the same amount of time, for eg:-6 months, as other H1 renewals take...considering the fact that its only the date that has to be changed on my H1?
If anybody was in the same kinda situation, please let me know how it was rectified....all your help is gratly appreciated.
