how to cancel my H1B

hi.....i filed for my H1B this april....now since OPT has been extended...i dont want my H1....can I myself as an employee pull back my H1B application before the draw or even after the draw so that I dont get my H1.....is it possible to do it without informing my employer....if yes then what is the procedure.....

H1 is the employer's petition. Only he can withdraw it. You can withdraw your change of status if you applied for one.

I am in same boat. I am on L1 (Emp A) and applied for COS to H1(Emp B). I do not want to shift on H1 as of 1st Oct. How can I withdraw the Change of Status ? Once I withdraw Can I travel abroad and get H1 stamped again?

I am still awaiting Approval notice. Can I do it after I recieve my Appoval notice. Do I need any lawyer to do that or I can simply do that?

Thanks for reply. I understand that I can not withdraw my H1B application. Only employer can do it.

Can I withdraw the Change Of Status or can I ask the COS date should be later than 1st Oct?
